Phillip proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked hard to provide for his family as a heavy equipment operator. Phillip and his family took apart the Catholic church and used the lumber to build their home. He cherished his kids and grandkids and loved his nieces and nephews, especially, Artis Veazey. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, collecting coins and camping. Phillip played “Santa” for many years; it was his passion to brighten the lives of people during the Christmas season.
